The documentary "Torgheh" is the story of four women in the villages of northern Khorasan who talk about their pain: from their husbands who responded to their sacrifices by remarrying and humiliating them. Men in a patriarchal and anti-feminist system could never understand their pain as women and could not even understand their natural and human need for music and to play instruments and sing. In "Torgheh" we see these women struggling with their problems. These simple and pure women go from one assembly to another and spend their time as servants and workers. Women claim to be neither artists nor musicians, but you are amazed when they play and sing.
