The new wave

The documentary “The new wave” explores the emergence of the so-called New Wave in Iranian cinema from its beginning. With the help of several innovative directors of Iranian cinema, such as Asghar Farhadi, Parviz Shahbazi, and Shahram Mokri, the filmmaker has conducted a warm conversation with some of the directors of the new wave of Iranian cinema, namely Dariush Mehrjoui, Bahman Farmanara, and Kianoosh Ayari, discussing the next step in Iranian new wave cinema.
