Shishak

The short film “Shishak” follows Kouhyar, a middle-aged man from a nomadic Bakhtiari family. The arrival of a special guest and a valuable gift for the family’s grandfather creates tension among the family members. To show respect for the guest, the grandfather decides that the finest sheep in the herd, Shishak, should be sacrificed. However, Shishak had already been given to his grandson in return for taking care of the family’s herd. Kouhyar is now faced with a difficult choice: should he obey his father’s wishes or respect his son’s claim? His decision puts family relationships and long-standing traditions to the test.
