A story of guidance, loyalty and a manifestation of guardianship in the shadow of the name of the Commander of the Faithful (AS)
This assembly tells the story of two generals who are encouraged by Ashkbus - the idolatrous king - to kill Imam Ali (AS).
Fattah, along with Fadl - Ashkbus's son - and his army, set out for the land of Hijaz. They encounter an unknown man in a palm grove in Medina and, after inquiring about the house of Imam Ali (AS), they fight him. Fattah is defeated by the unknown man every time, but eventually he realizes that he is none other than Imam Ali (AS).
On Ashkbus's orders, the army surrounds Imam Ali (AS). Fattah intends to cut off the Imam's head, but Imam Ali (AS) shows him the incident of Ashura and the misfortunes of the Banu Hashim family through his two fingers. Seeing the injustice of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), Fattah is transformed, converts to Islam, and becomes a slave and disciple of Imam Ali (a.s.). Fadl also becomes a Muslim at the instigation of Fattah.
Imam Ali (a.s.) gives Fadl the good news that whenever he is faced with difficulties in life, he should call out Ali’s name so that his call will be answered.
Fadl and the army return to Ashkbos’ court without Fattah. Ashkbos, after hearing the story, curses his son and decides to kill him. At this moment, Fadl calls out Ali’s name. Imam Ali (a.s.) rushes to his aid, eliminates the infidel and idolater Ashkbos, and places the Muslim Fadl on the throne.
