First Assembly: Hormuz Balkhi-هاشور

First Assembly: Hormuz Balkhi

language: Farsi | Iran |

A story of transformation and guidance; from grudge to devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.)
This assembly is the story of the journey of Hormuz Balkhi - a wealthy merchant from Balkh - with his son Ibrahim to Khorasan.

Hormuz Balkhi, who was famous for his grudge against the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), rented a house far from the dome and the court of Imam Reza (a.s.) after arriving in Khorasan. Ibrahim went to the Khorasan market to buy a gift as a courtesy for his elderly mother, but there he encountered a wandering dervish.
The dervish told Ibrahim stories about the moral virtues of Imam Reza (a.s.). Ibrahim pledged his heart to the friendship of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) and Imam Reza (a.s.) and gave all his money to the dervish.

After learning of this incident, Hormuz Balkhi declared his son a heretic and cut off his hands. Ibrahim turns to the Imam and the Imam heals him.
After witnessing this miracle, Hormoz Balkhi realizes the purity and righteousness of the Bani Hashim family and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), feels ashamed of his shameful past and converts to Islam.
